Houses in Fairfield, Southport and Greens Farms range from historic colonials to new shingle-style builds, and many owners want a floor that feels generous. Our extra wide European oak planks are 10-1/4" wide and 5/8" thick, engineered for stability.

Here is how the range breaks down by finish and tone.

Primoro and Fortuna: Character at 10-1/4"

Primoro is an ABCD character grade with natural grain variation and visible knots. Its page notes that the extra wide plank format enhances spatial flow, and that the wire brushed texture adds depth under a UV lacquer finish.

Fortuna is also character grade, with visible grain and subtle knots, a wire brushed texture and a UV lacquer finish with a smooth, clean appearance. Both run in random lengths up to 7', with most pieces at 7', which suits a long living room or a center hall.

Ursela and Faro: Lighter, Calmer Floors

Ursela is an ABCD grade also known as light character grade, with subtle knots and a natural tone. It is wire brushed with a matte UV lacquer finish for a low-sheen surface, in lengths up to 87".

Faro is a rustic select grade with a light, natural tone and a balance of character and consistency. Its page describes it as ideal for high-traffic environments. Either suits a bright kitchen and family room near the water, where a pale floor keeps the house feeling open.

Norcia and Ginestra: Natural Oil Finish

Norcia is rustic grade European oak with natural grain variation and organic character, finished with a natural oil coating. It is 10-1/4" wide in lengths up to 87".

Ginestra is also rustic grade with a natural oil finish, which its page describes as giving a warm and authentic look, in lengths up to 86". An oiled floor has a softer, more natural sheen than lacquer and suits a relaxed, lived-in house. Our light versus dark guide can help with tone.

Luca, Vero, Pasquale and Roma: Four Tones

Four more 10-1/4" floors offer a clear choice of tone. Vero has a light ivory tone and Luca a rich dark tone, both with a medium wire-brushed texture and a UV lacquer finish.

Pasquale has a natural tone and Roma a modern grey tone, both in a matte urethane aluminum oxide finish. Ivory and grey suit a coastal interior, while Luca suits a library or a formal dining room. Natural Pasquale sits comfortably in almost any room of the house.

Pomelo and Blaise: A Narrower 8-5/8" Plank

For smaller rooms, two floors come at 8-5/8" wide. Pomelo is rustic grade, wire brushed and oiled, which its page describes as a soft, matte appearance with a natural tone. It runs in lengths up to 87".

Blaise uses a reactive stain and UV oil coating for a bold, dark look, in random lengths from 2' to 7'. Using the 8-5/8" plank in bedrooms and the 10-1/4" plank downstairs keeps a house consistent. Our wide plank guide covers width choices.
