Large houses in Englewood Cliffs, Franklin Lakes, Tenafly and Saddle River often need one floor that can run through many rooms without feeling heavy. Our 7-1/2" European oak range is built for that, with character grade oak in a balanced, mid-width format.
Here is how the floors differ and how to plan them across a whole house.
Why a 7-1/2" Plank Works in Large Houses
A 7-1/2" plank is wide enough to feel generous but narrow enough to suit bedrooms, halls and stair landings as well as the main rooms. Lazera is described on its page as providing a balanced and modern layout suitable for a wide range of interior styles.
Lazera and Ardella are both ABCD character grade with natural grain variation and visible knots, a wire brushed texture and a UV lacquer finish. Both come in random lengths up to 6', with most pieces at 6'.
Galvona and Olivano: Light Wire Brushing
Galvona has a light wire brushed texture that adds subtle depth, with a matte UV urethane aluminum oxide finish that its page describes as durable and low-maintenance. It runs in random lengths up to 73".
Olivano shares the same light brushing, finish and format, with natural grain variation and visible knots. A matte finish suits a busy family kitchen or mudroom, where a high sheen would show every footprint. Seeing both in your own light is the best way to choose between them.
Fiandra and Petraluna: Subtle Knots
Fiandra and Petraluna are also character grade, but their pages describe subtle knots rather than visible ones, for a balanced and authentic appearance.
Both are 7-1/2" wide with a light wire brushed texture and a matte UV urethane aluminum oxide finish, in lengths up to 73". They suit a formal living room or dining room in a house that otherwise uses a more rustic floor, keeping the same format while calming the grain. Our minimalist species guide covers this quieter look.

Tramonte and Cirella
Tramonte is a rustic / ABCD grade with visible knots, finished with a natural oil coating that its page says highlights the organic beauty of the wood. An oiled floor has a softer sheen and suits a lower level or a relaxed family wing.
Cirella is character grade with natural grain variation, visible knots and a wire brushed texture, in lengths up to 73". It gives a classic, well-rounded oak floor for main living areas, home offices and guest suites.
Avelisse and Planning the Whole House
Avelisse is slightly narrower at 7", with subtle knots, a light wire brushed texture and a matte UV urethane aluminum oxide finish. It suits a house where the rooms are smaller in scale, such as a renovated colonial or a cottage.
Every floor in this range is 5/8" engineered, which helps over radiant heat and on slab foundations, common in newer builds. We confirm subfloor and heating details with your builder first. Our checklist of questions before installing is a good place to start.
